"Stick It"

My blogs are usually based on food but my girlfriend had a creative idea on how to "reuse and recycle". If you know me at all, you know how big I am into "recycle, reuse and repurpose", so I thought I'd blog about this crafty idea.
I wanted to add color and fun to my office space. My space had a large cork bulletin board that was old and dingy. Instead of throwing it away or replacing it we came up with an inexpensive way to redecorate the board.
By using left over material, pieces of ribbon and a simple stapler.
Measure the height and width of the board and add 1". Using an iron, press under a 1/2 inch material on all sides. This will make for a clean, straight edge. Using a stapler, attach the material to the board. Measure and cut ribbons using straight and diagonal lengths. Weave the ribbons under and over each other and attach with staples.
My space now has a useful, colorful, and creative board. Thanks "girlfriend" for the great idea!
